that's what he feels

Williams admitted the game has changed since he retired in 1998.
"I think today's game is more finesse," Williams told HOOPSWORLD. "When I played you could do more

around a little bit. Now the NBA has kind of cleaned that up and they're trying to show the
athleticism and more or less the beauty of the game.

contact, the game has really improved. I think it's difficult for guys who are the defensive
specialists to be effective in this game because you can't have any contact with your man."
While it may seem odd to hear someone like Williams, who made a living banging bodies around in

hand-checking have improved the game, that's what he feels.
